- Your bbq on Q should give you years of trouble free service with a little care:
- Any spills into the unit should be cleaned with a damp cloth and household dishwashing detergent.
- Keep the bbq ash tray free from any liquids that can overflow onto the drive mechanism.
- Do not hose down the countertop, clean with a damp cloth.
- Ensure the cabinet that houses the bbq on Q is closed and sealed from the elements whenever possible.
- Follow the preventative maintenance tips listed in the installation and service manual.
- Do not hose out the bbq on Q unit as it contains electrical components. Clean spillages with a damp cloth.
To operate the bbq on Q simply:
- Plug the power supply lead into a 10amp outlet and switch on
- Press and hold the up button on the remote control. The lid will retract and the bbq will start to elevate. Press and hold the up button again and the bbq will elevate to its fully raised position. This is a safety feature of the bbq on Q to ensure the operator has checked the bbq is clear of any obstructions and all other persons are clear of the mechanism while it moves. The remote control has a 10 second continuous signal and needs to be pressed and held twice to open or close the unit fully. Only responsible adults should operate the bbq on Q as misuse could cause damage to the unit or serious injury.
- When the bbq on Q is fully elevated and the gas connected it is ready for use. Note: the bbq is fitted with a gas valve that only opens when the bbq on Q is in the fully elevated position. This prevents the bbq being stowed away with the bbq burners still turned on and creating a fire hazard.
- After you have enjoyed your bbq grill turn off all your gas burners and let your bbq cool down for a minimum of 10 minutes before stowing it away. Clean all your cooking surfaces and give your bbq unit a wipe over before stowing it away.
- To stow your bbq away simply press and hold the down button on the remote control and the bbq will lower and the lid will move to about 80% closed and then it will stop. Ensure there are no bbq tools etc that will foul in the lid as it closes and everyone is clear. Then press and hold the remote control down button again and the lid will close completely.
- In the interest of saving our environment and reducing greenhouse gasses, when your bbq on Q is not in use please turn it off at the power point.
