Installing the BBQ on Q mechanism
The BBQ on Q units are sold with a full set of installation instructions. The units can be installed by a DIY handyperson or your selected cabinetmaker. Your bbq on Q unit should be installed under cover and protected from the weather.
- Follow the dimension tables relevant to your bbq unit size.
- Mark and cut the rectangular hole in the top of the cabinet to suit your bbq model.
- Install your selected benchtop material to the countertop with a matching rectangular cut out. Note: there needs to be a 30 degree clearance cut on the trailing edge of the cut out – refer installation instructions.
- Position the BBQ on Q unit in the cabinet ensuring the lid is in the closed position and is centralised with your rectangular cut out.
- With the use of the adjustable feet on the BBQ on Q, jack the unit vertically upwards until it is touching the underside of the benchtop.
- Double check the positioning of the BBQ on Q retractable lid to your bench cut out and then screw in position to the underside of the benchtop.
- Your BBQ on Q is now ready to have the matching bench top filler piece attached to the retracting lid. There should be a minimum gap clearance all around the benchtop filler piece of 1.5mm.
Installing an Outdoor Kitchen Package
Depending on the access to you site, the Outdoor Kitchen units acan be supplied as an assembled unit or in flat pack to be assembled onsite.
The site must be level with a base of paving or concrete slab to position the unit on. Services of water, water waste, power and natural gas (optional if available) to be run to the site.
